The yurts are 21 and older, which I could appreciate being a parent on a getaway. Staff was very friendly, and different beverage packages/drinks were available. The concierge got us checked in quickly and answered any last minute questions we had. Once we got to the property, we checked in with the guard and were sent up the drive to Nomad Hill. Our package included our yurt accommodation, a great choice of 3 course meals, breakfast, and tickets for 2 on an open air tour. The booking process was easy and only took minutes. I booked a yurt stay package online for our anniversary. We will be returning and paying for the upgraded Wild Side Tour on our next visit. The food all around was exceptional, the service was exceptional and the reserved visitor center dining room for Nomad Village guests had an amazing view.įrom the food to the sleeping accommodations to the Open Air Safari tour to the animals to the service to the value, we rank this stay as perfectly EXCELLENT. I had provided my allergy-specific dietary needs prior to arrival (a must for any specific dietary needs) and the dinner and next day breakfast exceeded all expectations. The accommodations were better than a high-end hotel room. The room had both AC and a heater for the hotter days and colder nights. There was ADA correct height toilet with bars and shower. Two twin beds gave us the best sleep but allowed couple cuddle time too. This was one of our BEST anniversary celebrations EVER! The yurt was exceptional accommodations. We celebrated by staying overnight in an ADA-accessible yurt at Nomad Village. While skeptical of what we would find in a yurt stay since it was our first yurt experience, we made reservations at The Wilds as our main anniversary present expense. Like so many others, we discovered The Wilds from watching Secrets of The Zoo. There's no way this is all included for the price I paid!" The complete package includes one night's accommodations, open-air safari, parking, dinner, and breakfast. In fact, I kept saying to my husband, "I must have read something wrong. Seeing animals up close, relaxing around a fire pit, being able to check "sleep in a yurt" off my bucket list. Breakfast the next morning was a buffet - fine, but nothing fancy.Īll in all, everything was just perfect. The NY Strip Steak was really, really good, and glad I saved room for peach cobbler for dessert! Hung out at the communal fire pit all evening, chatting, laughing, and getting to know others staying there that night. We had dinner at the dining room - choice of 3 entrees, along with salad and dessert. Staff at the concierge hut were so friendly and helpful. Lots of great stories! Our tour ended up being closer to 3 hours, with a couple stops along the way.Īfter that, we checked in for our overnight. Our tour guide, Bob, was so much fun and very knowledgeable. What an amazing experience!! We booked a night in one of the yurts at Nomad Ridge and couldn't have been any happier! We did the open-air safari the day we arrived, before checking in.
